Lisa Kenneally Dochat, a cum laude graduate of Albany Law School, has been practicing law for nearly 20 years. At the outset of her career, she received an award for Outstanding Performance as an extern law clerk to the Honorable Roger J. Miner, United States Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit, and she has not slowed down since then.
Her vast background includes handling civil litigation, civil appeals, stock and asset purchase agreement issues, commercial transactions and real estate matters, and compliance with the New York State Alcohol and Beverage Control law. In sum, Lisa knows how the law affects businesses of all types and at all stages, from business formations to commercial leases, to compliance with local, state, and federal laws, and to owner disputes and dissolutions. This insight aids in litigating business disputes, particularly business divorces, as well as employment matters, and private matters, including complex matrimonial and estate disputes.
In addition to practicing law, Lisa has been an adjunct professor at SUNY Schenectady County Community College since 2006, where she has taught Business Law, Legal Research, Trust and Estates, and Courts and Litigation. Prior to attending Albany Law School, she attended Long Island University at C.W. Post College on a full-tuition University Scholarship, where she was a member of the Honors and Merit Fellowship program. Lisa lives in Ballston Lake, New York with her husband and three children.
